Bio & CV
I mainly work in acrylic on birch, canvas or linen. I love choosing the surface my painting will be on because it will determine the final look. I primarily love painting water. I am branching out into two new areas now- animals and florals. Water might be involved as well!
I like choosing surfaces, like I said because it affects the final result.
The canvas I use is sailcloth and is wonderfully nubby. I use this for palette knife painting. I let the surface peek through too. I mount it on birch or oak.
Birch cradled panels are lovely and smooth. They can be hung as is or framed. I am currently exploring more ways to paint on this. It’s exciting and I will be sharing my process about this. Wish me luck!
Finally, linen is between these two surfaces. When I am heavily glazing I choose this one. The brush glides over this surface. The linen isn’t distracting like the canvas would be.
once in a while I will share my digital artwork like the painting below, Greg’s Wave. It is all done by hand and can be be small or large to fit a specific area.

Digital fine art is still new on the scene but I was encouraged to see so many galleries at the Los Angeles Art Show in 2019 that were displaying digital art.
